I had rib pain for a few weeks after my surgery, I think it is normal it is most likely a result of bruising from the surgery. I am now just over 4 weeks post op and my ribs are still tender to touch but are feeling a lot better.

    Hi Trudy
I had really bad bruising and swelling after my op, I was black and blue and the bras dug in so much around my ribs, the pain was awful, I thought I had broken a rib. Days 5,6 & 7 were the worst, on day 8 I woke up feeling much better, the pain just seemed to go away quite quickly and bruising and swelling started to go. I’m day 14 now and all bruising gone and no rib pain at all thankfully.
I know its hard, but try not to worry, it takes time to heal xx

You will be amazed how different you feel in 2 weeks. Take it real easy, eat well, drink plenty of water and rest. Try not to worry, it is normal, even after having overs. keep us posted on your healing hun, I am sure they will look ab fab 🙂
