Hi girls for those of you who have been unlucky enough to have a ruptured implant esp those with the mentor textured can you all tell me how you found out befor scans and stuff or at least suspected my left boob when I press underneither doesn’t feel full like my right yet I’m having problems with my right sitting a lot higher but it feel full at the bottom where implant is where my left when I press in at bottom feels kind of weird hard to explain but like air bubbles sort off feel also I’m a West mya don’t do scans so what sort of scan would I need and how do I go about getting one else where xxx
To check for a rupture you would need an ultrasound scan, you could approach your GP to see if he would refer you for one but they would probably ask for a short letter from your surgeon first just to confirm that he felt you did actualy need the scan and state the reasons why, if you were doing it privately for your own peace of mind your nearest provider would probably in washington the cost is around £380 there for one breast and just under £600 for two, hopefuly it won’t be neccasary for you to have one Stacey but if it is im sure Mr Traynor will give you a letter for your GP if he suspects a rupture xxx
I’ve have suspected rupture, I’ve been researching online and the only thing that can detect a rupture is a MRI , A untra sound won’t, also a MRI is not always 100%,.
My (what I think is) ruptured implant is lumpy as Iif can feel the gel leaked, also when I press it I’d doesnt bounce back like my other one, it’s also a lot softer and now I’m starting to get shooting pains and a constant dull ache xx
