scar revision

Hi, has anyone had scar revision, i’m about 9 weels post op after an uplift and my scars look quite bad, wide and red, particulary on my right boob where i’ve had two large holes, one needed stiches again and now i have large circular scars, one is about 3cm wide, has anyone had scar revision? how much did it cost and how did you prevent the same from happening again? x

Hi Kathryn, would you mind if I added you? I am 3 weeks post op after an uplift. I have a small section on my left boob that isn’t healing. When did they decide to put stitches in again and when did it finally heal?

Ye thats fine hun, it started as a small few mm hole then it just kept getting bigger and bigger, i went to my nurse and she got my surgeon to come and have a look, it was about 2cm wide by then, he just happened to have stitches in his bag so decided it would be quicker to restich than use steri strips, i was about 6 weeks post op at this point, the stiches didn’t take so a few days later i got seen again and they decided it was superficial enough to leave it to heal, hence the big circular scar, it still hasn’t healed and i’m now over 2 months post op, its superficial but it got pussy again and just won’t heal, i got another little hole underneath that one the other day, its now opened up to over a 1cm, i’m going tomorrow to my nurse so she can see it x

does anyone please have any advice on scar revision? x

Hi Kathryn sorry I can’t help you with scar revision but as you are so early post op still I would see your surgeon you have after care and should use it to your full advantage you should have to pay more money out as you’ve just paid thounds of pounds don’t let them fob you off either Hun good luck xx
