Scars

Hey! I’m 3 weeks post op and was wondering when you’re allowed to take the tape off your scars permanently? I’ve changed it 3 times but I’m not sure when I’m allowed to just keep it off. Does anyone know? Thanks ! X

id be intrigued to no this as im nearly 6 weeks post op and replace my tape when it come off in shower x

I took mine off completely after a week my surgeon said I didn’t need it on, just not to completely submerge them in the bath and to continue wearing macom bra or sports bra not to irritate it, it’s now been 6 weeks and my scars are perfect

daniella when was you told you was aloud a proper soak in the bath x

My surgeon said to try and wait about 3/4 weeks which I did and has been absolutely fine x

I’m not with MYA but my surgeon removed mine after a week and said I can shower etc as normal, as wetting the stitches helps to dissolve them x
