Did anyone that’s had Mr Traynor need 2 post op appointments? I’m 10days PO (just uploaded new pics) and went last week for my initial plasters off and was given more plasters and told to go back next week. Haven’t had my appointment date through yet as waiting for a late appointment time as I’m back at work. It’s just to trim my stitches down that were hanging out the little plasters but they seem to have dissolved. Does anyone know if the second post op appointment is necessary?xxx

Yes thats what they did with me. Each surgeon does their own thing, I was glad though because I wanted the reassurance that I was healing ok.

I have my first post op appointment tomorow. I thought I’d see the back of these dressings but maybe not as I had mr traynor too. Can you still have a shower or does that have to wait as well? X

You can’t get them wet still so it’s been shallow baths and leaning over to wash my hair still for me!! Cannot wait to get a shower, now I’m back at work it’s awful going to work not having a shower first thing! Even tho I get a bath every night I’m not used to not having a morning shower!!! However there’s someone on here who had the same as me with mr traynor and she was fine and hers taken off at her first post op and can shower so it maybe depends how fast your healing. One of mine has come off tonight on its own and looks closed up now but I had a peek at the other one and can tell that it needs to stay covered by the way it looked compared to the one where the dressings come off. I’ve just stook a large dressing over them both again just Til I get to my nxt appointment to be on the safe side xxx
