I’m not a MYA patient but has anyone else experienced this?
It’s extreme stabbing, burning pain in my right breast where the scars are. I had my operation on 14th March so only 4 days ago but I really feel this is not normal. I’ve been given gabapentin by the anaesthetist but it barely touches the sides to be honest. I can’t move, breathe in deeply, do anything without this searing pain which really freaks my partner out. I try not to say anything but he can see the look on my face. I consider myself to have a high pain threshold, I’ve had surgery on a hole in my eye, a bone come out my skin etc and NOTHING has ever been this painful. Apparently it’s nerve damage. Help help help. What do I do? I’m seeing consultant tomorrow. Anyone else had this and then had it go away?

I was in agony until day 7 then better every day! I’ve given birth 4times and I’d rather do that twice in a day than recover from a BA again ?. I think it’s totally down played how painful it is! I’m I’m 6weeks po today and totally pain free now though,it does get better I promise! Take it easy x

Its just horrific. I’ve got quite severe seroma in the same breast too so it’s like the most painful hot water bottle, I can feel stabbing pain and water sloshing around. I can’t wait to see my consultant. I’ll eat my hat if he doesn’t have to drain this!
