If you had a blood clot you would be getting these symptoms regardless if your doing things that are exerting yourself. I would say that going light headed is to do with the fact you’ve been alot less mobile and your blood pressure is possibly dropping slightly when your up and about. Make sure your drinking plenty which will help with your blood pressure. When getting up from lying down trying sitting on the edge of the bed for a good five minutes before standing and see if this helps with feeling light headed. If your feeling really anxious and worrying about things its probably causing you to feel short of breath.. its amazing how many physical symptoms can be related to anxiety and getting yourself worked up. I think you need to try and take it easier before getting straight up and make sure your not dehydrated, you should be aiming for a decent sized glass of water every hour atleast and see if this helps. if you find its not getting any better and you feel short of breath frequently then I think you need to take yourself to your local A & E. You could ring the helpline but theres nothing much they would suggest other than to get yourself seen to.
If its any help, Im a nurse x

Aww sounds like your getting your self really worked up 🙁 and as you probably know it will make your heart rate go up. (You probably know this) + being dehydrated makes your HR faster aswell
Try and relax for a bit, watch something that will take your mind off things and see if things settle x

Hi I am 7 weeks PO and I am the same. I am really wheezy after walking or exercising. I used to be out of breath a bit before my BA (asthma is in my family) but it’s deffo worse now. I asked my nurse and she said it’s the swelling internally pushing on chest wall so it’s sometimes hard to get a deep breath. I’m hoping it goes away as I heal more on the inside!!

    Hi Hun.

I suffer with panic attacks & the way your describing it sounds like you could be having little ones! Maybe working your self up. I used to do it all the time ???? I’d think the worst of a situation & you’ve had surgery it’s a big thing! I maybe wrong, Even though I’ve got control over them now it’s totally not a nice feeling & being on your own won’t help, is there no one that could stay with you for a couple of days? If you need a chat just message me any time ???? Hope you feel better soon Hun x

    Hi Beckie!
I recovered on my own as well, and I got shortness of breath. I had unders and for the first week I couldn’t really breath properly I was always breathing through my nose but a week later I was able to properly take deep breaths and it was the best feeling in the world.

Try not to stress yourself out about being alone, you’ll be fine! Xxx

HI Becky how are you feeling now is your breathing ok? Having to go back to work on day 3 made sure I was up and about and I havent really suffered from any of the complaints ive seen could be possible (thank god my first 2 days made up for that haha) .. So I reckon being up and about as much as possible in the day time especially sitting up straight is prob good for you. xx Ive read shortness of breath is common due to the weight on the chest but sure you have found out and read all that stuff by now xx
