Should I have been given any information at my pre op??

Hi ladies, iv just had my pre op and iv come away empty handed. I was under the impression, from what iv read on here, that the nurse would give me some paper work and go through what would happen on the day. But iv had nothing and the nurse didn’t tell me anything. She just did my blood pressure and swabs, took pictures and that’s it.
Is this normal??
I still feel quite unprepaired and there’s only 3 weeks to go xx

Hey Sue I’d ur with Mya (it’s unclear from ur profile if u are as u haven’t stated) the nurse should have given u a pack with information about guidelines /instructions to follow pre and post op.

Including an information sheet about the proceedure ur going to have, bras and ur surgeons specific guidelines to what ur having ie. I was told no ibroprofen or certain supplements / vitamins pre op. My surgeon advised soft crop tops post op and not macoms. I aslocouls not shower for four weeks as I was having an uplift and I had to sleep upright at an angle for four weeks.

If u have not received an Info pack consult ur pc at ur clinic and or contact to see ur surgeon they will talk u through all the things they want u to follow pre ans post op.

I would ring up and speak to your pc you should have had all the information about the hospital care pre op supplements to take and what clothes to wear etc xx

Really I had nothing thanks for letting us know I will call my pc. X

I spoke to someone and they said that apparently it’s all changed now and it all goes through email. So I’ll keep an eye on my email. Still feel pretty let down that the nurse never spoke to me about anything ????.
