Showering after op?

how soon can you shower after the op? And what about the dressings? is it really uncomfortable? And when can you start shaving your armpits again? xxxx

You can’t shower until you get the ok from the nurse which is usually at your 1 weeks check when you have your dressings removed unfortunately as you have to keep the dressings clean and dry. You just have to cope with a wet wipe wash on the top half until then. As for shaving your armpits, you can do that whenever you can comfortably lift your arms up x

I couldn’t shower until 1 week but did sit in a bath half full and had a wash that way! Also did my underarms then too xx

Yeah I had shallow baths, i just had to get my partner to help me in and out as lifting myself right up out the bath was painful xx
