Showering on op day

Morning ladies

I was told by my nurse that I had to shower and wash my hair the night before my op. Did anyone shower in the morning? I’m wondering how strict they are on this. If it’s going to be my last shower for a week I want to leave it as late as possible!

Also, any tips on what to take? I’m in overnight at the Fitzroy on the 29th but not been told what I need to take with me.

Hey Hun I showered on the morning of my op just make sure you don’t put any deo or moisturiser on and shower with Sanex xx

Thanks chick. I’ve got anti bac soap. Did you wash your hair? I know it sounds silly but I’m dreading not being able to do that for a week the most! Xxx

I washed with detol soap night before and washed my hair and then also washed with the detol soap on the morning of my op as well xx
I had an early admission time so washed my hair and shaved everything the night before then just had a body wash in the morning xx

Hey Hun yes I washed my hair on that morning that’s fine to do. In the first week I just ran a shallow bath and washed from my strapping down and then got a flannel and did my arm pits haha by day 4 I washed my hair over the bath xx

I’m also having my ba on the 29th at Fitzroy 375cc unders mod+. Hope you don’t mind the add!

Hey ! I have washed my hair post op day 3 and had a shallow bath 🙂 if u can lean over the bath like i could and have sombody els wash ur hair it felt amazing haha then my mum dried and straightend my hair shes a good one i must say !! Xxxx

Do you think it would be ok to go to the hair dressers and get a wash and blow dry a few days after a ba? X

Hi, I’ve been in today for op, I showered last night and shaved all the nurses were really bothered about was if I had shaved today, I did this last night so wasn’t an issue, not to sure why shaving on the day would be an issue but it seems to be x x
