Hey girls
Just to share my experience with you as I know these forum really helped me.
I’m 1 day post op and after ready most recovery stories I honestly thought I’ll be okay but this isn’t the case. My admission time was 7:30am I didn’t have my surgery till 10am my surgeon was Dr Mashidi and the nursers at London Fitzroy we’re absolutely amazing always there to support I didn’t have to wait long for pain relief or for assistance to go toilet.
After surgery I wasn’t in pain all the breast feeding mothers the feeling was similar to when your breast fills up with milk.. hard and tight. It was when I was ready to be discharged I started feeling really sleepy, light headed and weak I couldn’t even hold my phone. I have a big appetite so somehow still managed to have a cheeky McDonald’s. Being home for just over a day I’m finding it difficult to sleep and even flush the toilet and any movement in my hands causes a sharp shooting pain by my armpits and I’ve come to realise the strap doesn’t make it any easier as it’s very tight and pushing on it making me uncomfortable. I have a 11 year old boy and a 1 year old girl and couldn’t even unscrew a tight lid for my sons bottle but I have people constantly passing through to help with these things. I’m 5ft 11 and weight 9 stone I initially thought I was getting 350cc high profiles overs but I ended up with unders as I lack breast tissue and so far I’m looking in the mirror like I have boobies ????????!
A chaperone who can support your body weight is a must and also front zip bra is genuinely ideal.
Any ladies worried bout parking there is a car park called citi park on chiptione mews we paid £12.50 for all day parking.
I have attached photos as you can see my breast look small and uneven but there sizing at a 36D currently and one breast has swelled and dropped and the other is awaiting.
On the whole recovery isn’t easy but it’s nowhere near labour pains so wish you all the best!
They look great hun I’m at 2dpo and I must say it is very uncomfortable I had 400cc up unders and I struggle flushing the toilet too.
I was the same. 350 unders and seriously struggled for the first week. I have a 3 year old and 1 year old – not a single mum though so I had help.
also, if you’re the same height and weight as me there is no way you can need a 36 band! I’m a 30. it could be because you’re swollen right now but I’m measuring 30E currently
Hey Laura that’s what the women at m and s we’re saying they were like you can’t be a 36d. They reckon I’ll be a 34d or 32dd by the time my breast have settled.
I’m really swollen right now
How you feeling now Laura ?
I’m 4.5 weeks post op now and feel probably 95% normal.
I can lift my 30lb 1 year old with no issues now.
I still don’t carry her around long distances like I did before the op as I don’t want to strain myself.
it’s annoying because reading on here I felt like there was something seriously wrong because I was in so much pain for quite a long time but actually everything has settled and now i feel like I’m healing really well!
I had smaller than you did to start with so my Afters probably look smaller than yours will too but if you wanted to add me as a friend since we have such similar stats I can send you some photos if you’d like to see where I’m at 4 weeks on.
Hey Laura
I just added you..
I’m a bit mobile today nothing too heavy fancied beans in toast till I realised I didn’t even have the strength to even push down the toaster it’s a mad feeling!
Can not wait to see what my breast will look like.
Thank you. I’ve just woken up from a horrible nights sleep ready to take my anti biotics. You read everyone’s recovery stories and just go by that that but because everyone is different your still surprised at your own reaction.
