So my op is booked for july im worried how im gonna manage my youngest will be 11months old his nan and dad are going to have him as much as poss around their jobs but im so worried bout the times they can’t have him, has any one else had to manage obviously I’ll do minimal lifting but I can’t see how im gonna get away with doing none ???? xx
Hey hun im 4 Days PO with a 12 month old i thought i would be fine amd manage but sadly this is NOT the case at all. I literally can’t do anything for her. Thank god for my hubby and friends helping me out. Just try make sure you have plenty of support for the first 3 days. Im alittle more mobile now but still can’t do much if im honest. I have HP Overs and apparently they are not half as bad as Unders and im still struggling.
Good Luck hun xx
Im worring about the same thing! Im booked for june and will have a 9 month old 🙁 my other half works away all week and my parents are on holiday when i have it done so i have no help available! So so worried how i will lift him and bath him etc xx
I think the first three days it’s important to have help but I had unders and a 16month old and just got on with it and done the least lifting as possible by day 10 I was driving and lift as usual now 6wpo and no problems.
U cant lift u wont have the strength or the stamina and if u did u could really upset the surgeons work. Im a mum of 2 and a childminder im 7dpo and this is the first day i can move tbh. I made a coffee and tea today I couldnt imagine trying to do anything prior. Ive had to employ an assistant to work with me from today as i couldnt leave my mindees parents in limbo and pay a cleaner to come 4 times a week. Im not loaded but I seriously couldnt do it i cant lift children even now or drive. Can u get any full on care support for at least a week? Move in with a sibling or parent? Everyones healing is different i guess but for me, and im not marde with pain, I felt frustrated at how little i could do day 3-6 i just cried lol i had unders perhaps u will have overs which are supposed to be better x
Sorry for the long whinge but I think this procedure is costing so much Id hate for you to mess up in the recovery x
Im havin unders, 2 of my children are with their dad for the week, my 4 year old will be fine it’s just youngest im worried about coz of lifting, his nan is gonna help as much as poss and his dad, im hoping my friend is able to take time offe come live with me for a week but I don’t no yet, im gonna get protien drinks etc and try and rest as much as possible in hopes that I heal quickly, I had key hole n was fine after couple days bt obviously this is a lot bigger than key hole ???? Thankyou for your replies xx
You really need to make sure you have someone there to help you for at least the first 3 days ideally a week. Mine are 2 and 4 and my husband had a whole week off and when he did leave me for brief amounts of time I really couldn’t cope and totally freaked out. It’s not just physically but emotionally you will be traumatised after such a big surgery and looking after small children is really not possible.
Not trying to worry you just you need to be realistic coz if u do too much after your op you could end up making yourself ill and ruining your new boobs
I no ???? I no the following week my daughter will be home shes 9 but is so helpful bless her so I can get her to get me bits im having it on a weekend wen my mum will be there then hopefully the beginning of the week at least my youngest will be with his nan and the weekend my mum will come back over little one will get her rota for july in June so hopefully she can at the week off she norm does a thurs/fri/sat night but his dad and grandad can also help out im sure they won’t all just leave me to get on wth it well I hope not anyway, maybe me n my 4 year old will lie at my mum so she can help wen she gets in from work at least xx
