Just super prep hun with food..cleaning..washing etc. . and do as little as poss for the 1st week.
Ive found in the past at times like this its helped me realise my daughter could do a lot more than id let her lol. I did everything for her as a single mum until she was 10. I had flu once and she really had to help me then when she was around 8. It was a blessing in disguise as she carried on after.. tidying up after herself and making a sandwhich etc.. which she ended up love doing and called it her Jessy Surprise lol. I bet your kids will feel all grown up having to step up a bit. Another lady on here said she told her kids she had a really bad back after her op as it was a secret and her kids helped out more.. great idea i think x x x
