I am 7 weeks post op since my BA 350cc gel under muscle implants with Mr Traynor and was wondering when I can sleep on my side! I asked my nurse but she said it could be 6 months so Christmas or until i see my surgeon at the 12 week mark but I am shattered as I am a natural side sleeper. I’m scared I’m going to displace, rupture or contracture my new boobs but I really can’t sleep! Can anyone help me?

I had partials on the 20th of June. I was a big belly/side sleeper so hated being on my back. I’ve got the the 4 week stage and keep waking up on my side so I emailed my PC and she said from 4 – 6 weeks. I feel everyone gets told different things!!! x

What do you think I should do? What my nurse told me is completely different to what my PC said to me during our consults. My PC said about 4-6 weeks also. Should I email and ask and see if they can talk to my surgeon and he his opinion on it as I am literally exhausted.
I just don’t want them to become misshapen or else after I have come this far in recovery

That would be amazing thankyou! Let’s hope it’s not down to a case by base basis.
Also good luck! Mr Traynor is amazing! I’ve had 2 surgeries with him. But the sleeping upright after this is a nightmare! Also I recommend getting in some peppermint tea to help prevent shoulder tip pain caused by air 🙂 x

@unigirl2015 I asked Mr Traynor yesterday… I explained I’m a natural side sleeper and he said at the end of the day your body is going to go where it wants when you’re asleep. He said try and sleep upright as long as you can- at least 10 days- but if you start to sleep on your side it’s not a huge deal. I was quite surprised he’d said that! I think I trust his judgement more than a PCs but I think I’ll still try and stay upright as long as I can stand to.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!
    I’m so doing that tonight!!!!!
Yeah I stayed upright for 2 weeks and it is tough but it does help a lot with the swelling. Plus you’ll be too sore right now. How did it go yesterday?!?

I’ve bought an electric recliner chair off eBay so that I don’t end up sliding down in bed I’m having a uplift and implants next week hopefully with the chair and all the cushions I’ve bought should be a little easier
