    Hiya!

So I totally forgot to ask the nurse about my sleeping situation post op. Do you HAVE to sleep upright or is it your own personal preference depending on pain etc. Is it also bolt upright or can you recline. Does everyone use a v pillow?

Ive been using a v pillow which helps so much. But im not sure why we have to, think I read that it helps with the swelling so ive been trying to sleep upright just in case BUT OMG ITS SO HARD! end up waking up almost flat by the mornings xx

You’ll struggle to get up from a lie flat position too after your op and it actually hurt me to lie flat with the weight for the first 5 days or so xx

I agree Sarah it is more painfull to get up from flat position.sleeping more upright reduces swelling plus your body has to get used to the weight of the implant.i definitely recommend a v.pillow etc.i had a mammy pillow which is bigger than a v pillow love mine I use it on sofa in bed and even in the car xx
