    Hi everyone.
I have my first consultation with Dr Kazzazi in a couple of weeks and I’m 90% sure I want to go ahead with the operation; I was just wondering if anybody has had any issues sleeping?
I can only sleep on my stomach so I’m worried how long it will take before I can sleep like this again? Also, is it OK to sleep on your side soon after? I’ve read that for the first few days to a week you have to sleep upright which would be OK but I don’t think I could go too much longer without a proper nights sleep lol. Thank you 🙂 x

I was the same could only sleep on my stomach but you soon adapt to it! I went on my side from 7 days post op and gradually starting to move more onto my stomach but its taken me 4months, iv only just recently been able to sleep on my front but no longer than maybe 1 hour as it hurts my boobs but you get used to sleeping on your side xx

I think your body adapts – when you don’t have the option of sleeping on your stomach I think your body would eventually adapt to sleeping on your side! I started sleeping on my side from Day 7. Took a couple of months before I could really sleep on my stomach but nearly a year post op and whilst it doesn’t hurt, it really doesn’t feel comfortable to sleep on my stomach as it feels like my boobs are being squashed! Which might just be because there was nothing there to squash before so that’s a weird feeling!

Thank you 🙂 that makes me feel better. I think I will just have to get a load of pillows and try sleeping on my side. I’m going to miss sleeping on my front but it will be so worth it lol x
