I’m 15 days post op and am slightly flatter on my back yet head is still raised above my bottom half, I think it depends how you feel, your body will let you know, Ive notice one of my incisions in particular has raised and looks a bit lumpy, still closed but I had revision surgery so he went through old scar tissue so this may be why but as I’m paranoid about pushing down on the incisons I’m still reclined a little bit, I cannot wait until I’m able to sleep on my side! To be honest , I put my pillows at s different angle so not upright and ended up waking up flatter than when I went to sleep so your body will tell you, also when I had my strapping taken of 7days post op she had me lying flat on the bed, I even said to her “can i lye that flat it’s the flattest I’ve laid since” and she said yeah so who knows lol, I don’t feel like I’ve got much swelling but it was my second op and I do think the majority of the swelling and denfitkey pain is the skin stretching as this time round I didn’t get the pain I had from my first op and this time I had unders which is meant to be more painful xx
