How long do we have to sleep up right, nearly 2 weeks post op and it’s doing my head in xx
I was told by my nurse u can sleep flat on ur back from 1 week PO xx
Yeah from a week u can lay flat on your back. Only way I can get comphy is half on my back half on my side. I struggle sleeping anyway as I had spd in my pelvis in pregnancy and I’ve never really recovered from it xx
Whattttt?! I wish I’d been told this. The nurse on my 1 week post op said don’t lay flat until at least 2 weeks and even then gradually lower your back each day. I haven’t slept much for days as been sitting up 🙁 xx
Usually about a week or two but also when u start to feel comfortable to do so. That’s what I was told x
I started sleeping flat at 10 days post op! Get the all clear with your nurse first hun, I could t lay flat after first week because one side hadn’t healed as good but after another few days they checked me again and said it’s fine! I’m now over 3 weeks post op and slightly laying on my side but stil with v pillow so it’s soft and I don’t roll right over xxxx
It is a nytmare i was so sleep deprived but it does get better altho a slow process from about 2 weeks i was used to it n slipping further down the bed but it was about 6weeks till i slept on side xx
I slept upright for first 5 days but on 6th day slept sorta flatish. I really hate sleeping on my back!!
That’s the only bit I’m dreading.. normally I sleep on my front can get comfyish on my side but lying on my back just feels awkward 🙁 Bought myself one of them giant u-shaped body pillows to stop me rolling over and squashing my boobs lol 😛 x
Lying on my backs gotta be worst part for me. Is it from 6 weeks you can sleep on ur side?
Around 6weeks should b the norm for most and a v pillow is a must xx
roll on another 4 weeks then back on my side…it will be heaven
I got my v pillow from amazon, it’s fab. I’m not quite sleeping flat yet but hoping to start that after seeing the nurse tomo, roll on side and tummy sleeping again x
I slept on my back the whole time I never knew I couldn’t? My nurse never told me anything about that xx
