Sleeping/Pain in R Breast

Hello Girls… Most of you probably know that im a bloody wimp and im not dealy very well with this healing process but im looking for some advice. Firstly… Sleeping. I know how important it is to sleep st this 45° angle… which i do every night, but everytime i wake up im flat on my bk.. last night was the first full nights sleep iv had since the op and i woke at 7am this morning flat on my bk, whats going to happen to my breasts because of this?? Why do we have to do it?? Secondly, in my Right breast, i keep getting a rrally sharp stinging feeling, like its the skin stretching or something & it happens in between my cleavage too!! It only does this when i move or something. Its like someone is doing that horrible snake bite but on my boob!!! 🙁 Please reassure me girls. Im still on top of all my meds apart from paracetomol as i kept choking on them lol. But im well on top of ibuprofen and antibiotic. Xxx

It’s ur nerves knitting back together, I have had that to. It varies from boob to boob currently just in my left. I am guessing it means they are changing and healing as they should. It is a horrible pain I know but as far as I am aware and according to the paper work MYA give u it’s normal.
The sleeping thing is terrible…. I think as long as u wear ur support bra and ur band u will b fine if u wake up on ur back… don’t worry too much about it. Speak with them about it at ur 7 day post op…. as long as u keep the bra on and the band u will b fine…. u r trying to sleep at an angle so it’s all good :)….
How’s the temp of ur boob today? Have they cooled down?

Thankyou so much for getting bk to me hunny. Yeah its absolutely fine now… could have been because i was wearing my macom bra, pjs & dressing gown and was sat in the lounge with the log burner on but i was paniking. My partner did a temp test last night and there were pretty much same temp as thw rest of my body. So panic over. Thankyou so much for reassuring me. I dont have a breast band but im constantly wearing my macom bra.. i just have it open on 2 hooks as i really cant breathe with them all closed. Xxx How are you today??? Xxx

Whenever I stand up I get an electric shock like feeling in my left boob since lastnight. I very nearly went out lastnight as it was a friends 30th, got dressed, put make up on, brushed my hair, actually felt like a human again (!) but then started getting the pains your describing, freaked out, decided I’d done too much and that my boob was going to explode. Needless to say I got back in my comfy clothes and didn’t go anywhere. They’re harder than ever today. I want to fast forward the next couple of weeks and get to the good part!xx

Awwww Laura bless you… Its horrible isnt it! It almost feels like your skin is going to rip doesnt it. Mine are still rock solid. When will we notice the softening stage?? Xx

I’m not sure but I can’t wait for that stage! I read that you should be at the peak of swelling at 3-4 days then go down gradually after that but I’m guessing it will be quicker for some than others?x

Yeah i presume so. Im so jealous of all these girls who have had overs and have no pain or anything. So unfair!!!!!

Weirdly I’ve not had any pain today. So far no pain meds either! The shooting things are still there but it’s more of an electric shock and tingling than pain. Just taken my macom off and my left is much lower than my right. And there’s a little bleeding from my right nipple (I had an uplift as well as implants). The early days are oh so attractive!

U don’t have a band! Lucky u! Ha I am fine aside from the band 🙁 and the awful mini explosion pains in my boobs…. so weird I can be walking and then get a little electric shock feeling…. my boobs r still really hard, I am less bloated though which really is a bonus and I have managed to go out and about a few times… just on the paracetamol now no more codine which is a blessing in disguise I reckon…. I have my post op 7 day on Monday not looking forward to having my dressings ripped off hahahah….. x

Haha That made me laugh…!! Please lets not use the word ‘ripped’ haha. Your frightening me. My bottom is in absolute agony i could cry. Im still getting those horrible pains in my boobs, mainky my right. Its bloody horrific. Lol!!!! And i still dont regret getting them done. Haha..

I had a ‘modified mastopexy’ which is like half an uplift so they cut round the top of the nipple and removed some skin and stitched the nipple back on higher up. It’s all under dressings so I have no idea what it’ll look like till my 7 day post op x

Hey girls I’m 4 weeks po. I kept waking on my back aswell and the nurse said it’s mainly for swelling and to stop the implant stretching. I still now sleep proped up as I feel uncomfortable on my back driving me insane. I had a uplift aswell. Regarding having your strapping off it really doesn’t hurt. Xx
