Smoking before and after surgery

Just wondering if anyone’s a smoker and has/hasn’t quit before and after surgery ? Or have they just cut down? X
If you haven’t quit can you please inform me of your healing process xx

I smoked up until 1week preop. I bought an e cig and have been on that ever since, would defiantly recommend them xx

I use e cig hun and dont thunk i will stop using it.. best thing i ever did xx

Im pre op btw and just going to carry on using that it has nicotine in but no toxins xx

I’m a naughty one. Smoked before and after the op. didn’t smoke on the morning though, did the night before. I did cut down during the week before but couldn’t give up all together

I spoke at the moment, I’m having my ba on the 20th of July it using this as a kick up the ass to quit! 😉 not quite quit yet but I’m pretty sure when I see the surgeon I will! Xxxx

I smoked before n after and my healings absolutely fine I wouldn’t worry about it just maybe cut down if your a heavy smoker xx

i had surgery previously and smoking affected me badly. I had wound breakdown and delayed healing so have now been left with unsightly scars. So if there is anyway you could give i really really would and there are also other complications that smoking can have to like anaesthetic etc. don’t put your body under more strain and risk when your paying so much money. If you did have problems after and have smoked you may not be covered either xx

Even if you can just not smoke on the day of and after tho that will make a difference x
