SO CONFUSED !! Rhinoplasty

Hi all 🙂
I’ve got a deposit down on open rhino with dr gonschior and have been to see him but had to cancel in December , so I’m wanting to book for June but I’ve recently found another surgeon called Lucian Ion and he seems amazing !! And I thought dr g was until I read online and there’s so many bad reviews ! Which I’m so shocked at as he seemed very good , PLEASE help !! Has anyone had Lucian ion and am I just overreacting :/ xxx

Jodi did u have open rhinoplasty

I had open septo rhinoplasty with Dr Gonschior and had three grafts and de-projection. I wasn’t happy at the start due to swelling looking very different and that it didn’t look much like a nose for a while but I am happy now x

Not to mean this In any disrespectful way but when u have a obviously big nose that’s bothered u for some people just a smaller nose be it not very defined or elegant some people will be over the moon with just because its Smaller. But if u have a decent nose and are looking for finesse refined rhinoplasty and tip workwill likely be dissapointed.

I had my bridge shaved down, had it made narrower, shorter and had the tip lifted.
he said I was an 8/10 complexity.

Yea my nose was huge haha but he didn’t just make it smaller my nose is completely different to how it used to be
What don’t you like about yours how far post op are you x

yeah I did, but didn’t see half of the complaints back then

I did too and I did see bad reviews but the good outweighed the bad and I saw lots of pictures of the noses he had done in the past and checked his background etc.
Kelly – I had the graft on the top of the tip he used my own cartilage I think he also said I needed one near my nostril and on one side of my nose

Although I am only two weeks out – I will hold most of mouth until some time has passed x fairs fair

It’s. Difficult to see the good out come after something so massive when someone has gone in on you and basically broke your nose to make it new again ! I didn’t like my nose at all 2 weeks after cast was off and I was on and off a out it for 5 months it swelled up bigger than before! Now 2 years on I’m happy I do still think my tip could of been made more defined but it’s small and that’s what I wanted and there is definition there , he said he couldn’t of taken any more of my tip otherwise it would of left serious issues future on with my nose maybe collapsing etc which I totally understood because I did have a fatty nose before hand due to me being mix trace even tho I look white haha! My nose stil swells up sometimes now but not like before it’s only ever swollen in the mornings! You must give it 6 weeks to 4months I know it seems a long time to wait to see of something changes but it can be worth it as it might get better in the long run for me it was 6 months obviously I saw a change before I hit that month but for me 6 months was were I was happy with my nose! And now I’m super happy it’s changed my life! Not every surgeon can do something perfect it’s impossible and obviously there are bad cases in anything that you get done! You just have to go with who you feel comfortable with xx

I’ll keep the faith got small miracles and changes that could partially rescue it. Never getting the strong nose back but I’m praying for decent refinement. X rinx’s is lovely work x

I very much doubt Lucion would work at a high street chain – he’s one of the best and has his own practice x

I think its important to keep in mind that rhinoplasty does have the highest rate of revision surgery, because its on your face and is so visible.
And also as with anything on the internet – people are much more likely to write complaints than positive things.

Hi I’m new to this!! I’m having closed rhino in 3 weeks time with dr G .. Absolutely shitting myself! Iv come on here for the first time and I’m reading a lot more negative than positive! Can anybody reassure me and also does anyone have photos I can see?? Thanks ladies xx
