SO EXCITED! What to prepare? Jan 14th anyone??

I’m having it done on january 14th and I cant fucking wait !!!!!! Anyone else having them that day? Anyone got any tips on what to take to the hospital or helpful advice for after the op? Ahhhhhhhhhh yay xxxx

Hi Hun are you day case or over night?
I was a day case with twilight sedation was there only 4 hours and was in theatre for 2 hours of that. So I didn’t really need much.
In my bag I packed pjs, baby wipes, magazines, sports bra but didn’t need it as I had strapping.
A hoodie as its easy to get on after, slippers toothbrush and toothpaste in case your sick and a pillow for under seatbelt on the way home.

I’m still pre-op hun (18th Jan mine..yay) but I’ve bought some rehydration drinks called oralyte, come in a small purple carton and are usually used for after sickness etc but as we may have a long time without water these will be ideal for replacing fluids and electrolytes lost. You can find them near the medicines in most supermarkets and also available in pharmacys. I’d also say take plenty snacks for you and support after op as a few people have said you could be waiting a while to be discharged. Good luck hun xxx
