SO, i’m going to book

Once I have sorted out time off work, and all other arrangement i’ll be booking in for my op! It feels so nice to finally have the money for this, but im still waiting argh! Anybody know what the Pre op assessment is like and whether i’ll get to chat to my Surgeon again before the op? Also what are waiting lists like?

They are really helpful the pre-op consultations, a nurse basically tells you what will happen on the day of the surgery and talks to you about dressings etc.If for some reason you want to see your surgeon again they can arrange that for you. I happened to get a late deal for my BA which is happening on the 25th of Jan but otherwise the waiting list was 2 months but it will vary with what surgeon you have and what clinic you go to. Hi leanne I went for my first consultation beginning of December and I had the choice of having it the next week! But it was too fast for me and still needed to save a little but it all varies on your waiting times… There could be cancellations. I’ve got mine booked for 30th jan… It creeps up quick! xx
