Soft after first proper bath??

So yeah i’m 15 days post op now and i finally had my first proper bath last night!

Afterwards my right boob was dead soft and squichy!

Has any one else found this? Was this because of the bath warm water or something?!

Lauren, I’ve found the opposite. During a warm shower my skin tightens. It feels like the warmth from the water is actually making them contract. Weird!

Now 10 days post op, also had a bath but have not experienced too much softness. When I press on them with my index finger they still seem very firm. Just have to be patient.

Claireybabes! How are we 10 days down the line? Im doing well, still no pain. Having my stitches out was the weirdest sensation! They look fab without dressings on.. super happy!

Ive been having shallow baths, the nurse has said I have have my first very wet shower or deep bath on Sunday to soak off steri strips.. I liked what I read from laurenf.. im hoping hoping for softening after my long hot bath on Sunday as im still quite hard x

When is it we can have a bath. I’m 13 days now and cant wait to have a proper soak with a small glass of wine ))

Ask your nurse.

I have steri strips on my scars and she told me to soak them off on Sunday. Glass of wine, candles and some Adele 21.. Sunday cant come quick enough!

when ive asked on here before ppl say different! hear ppl say up to 6 weeks till ur boobs r fully covered in water ..im confused lol x

i thought it was 6 weeks before u could have a nice soak in the bath?

ahh what really, nah it can’t be because how am i meant to wash lol! i dont have a shower! yeah think its nice now there bit squishy because they cant stay hard forever can they haha xx

Eh? I didn’t realise there was a timescale? I “dooked” in a bath at like day 7! Boobies were like life rafts keeping me afloat in the bath. I was like “ooo, air bags! ” haha.

As long as the incision is closed and you don’t have steri strips on, I don’t see the harm in a nice warm bath.

@ICS – Hey Mrs! Woo Woo! Double figures, day 10! I’m still feeling them hard but I can press on them and my index finger sinks in now, so not brick hard. Hurrah. Oiling my boobs up on a regular basis. How good do our boobies look with oil. If only they’d always look so glossy and flawless

I got told no baths till after six weeks. As u are lying in ur own dirt and can increase chance of infection. Careful hun ursuch early days xxx

yeh see ive had baths but i have a shower hose so i sit in the bath and shower wash my boobs lol xx

l was 2 weeks in a bath big soak no bubble bath though. l used simple non perfumed about week 4/5 loved rubbing it in to my boobs ha ha xx
