Hi girls. So iv finally had it done and I’m sure you will all be sick of my post op posts soon ?. But just wanted to tell you things I have found useful personally( sorry if repeated from what others have said). For those unsure about post op bras, even though I only had surgery yesterday, i have found the Macom I bra really supportive. It was a struggle to get on and it’s on the loosest setting, but hopefully when the swelling goes down it will still be nice and tight as I can use the tighter clips. The nurse also agreed it was really good, even though pricey.
The v pillow I got was from eBay and was only £5.95 including free p+p. I thought it would be really thin but I’m really impressed with it so would defo recommend.
I wasn’t in any pain afterwards, the only thing is my cousin and boyfriend have been my skivvies haha passing me everything as sometimes I feel a slight pull.
I also have a 16 week old baby so for those of you worrying about lifting and how you will get on post op, I will try and do another post soon letting you know how I get on. Not done much yet as the monkey was asleep when I got in.
For those wondering about possible waiting times once your there (although I know it’s different for everyone) my admission time was 1, surgery was at 5, finished by half five then set off home half 9. It sounds like a long day but in all honesty it flew by I just watched a few episodes of series on my phone. (£5 for wifi).
Also a heads up, the nurse said chaperones used to get toast and tea but apparently now they charge. So even though they say no food, take some sneakily. My cousin bobbed out to go to the shop and ate on the sly.
All in all staff at Preston were all lovely and put me at ease as I’m sure you have all read. Sorry to ramble. I’m happy with my results so far, but I know it’s early days. Pretty sure I will get boob greed when swelling goes down ? fingers crossed I will love my new assets 🙂 and so will you!
I have before pictures on my profile so feel free to add and I will put regular updates on too.
P.s- sorry it’s long and boring!! Xxx
Hi @sarah564
Congrats on your new boobs! I hope you don’t mind the add, I have my surgery in a few weeks time. I have 2 young children so trying to soak up as much info from people’s recoveries including all hints and tips to help as those first couple of weeks is the bit I’m worrying about most! Happy healing hope your feeling well today x
Hey 🙂 no course not I accepted. Yea I struggled to find things about how people coped with their little ones too. Specially babies so young as he relies on me for everything. I will keep you posted . My surgeon did say it’s impossible for me not to pick him up so can nurse him on my knee and most of all be careful they don’t knock them with their hands. I have use of my arms at the moment with no pain, maybe because I had overs so it’s not meant to be as painful. I’m lucky at the moment as my partner doesn’t have work til this evening then my mum has kindly agreed to coming over. But after two days it will just be us two so fingers crossed 🙂 xxx
Congratulations on your boobs! How are you getting on? Is the pain ok? My operation is on Thursday at Preston with Dr Mounir. I’m quite nervous! Yours boobs look great 🙂 I bet you’re pleased! Xx
Hi Hayley. Thank you 🙂 yea I am made up just hope I still do once they have had time to heal. I’m getting on good and haven’t really been in pain. I have been doing lots around the house and been driving without a problem too. I have my 7 days post op check tomorrow so will get to see how the incisions are. Il carry on posting pics too so feel free to have a look 🙂 xxx
