Splint off!

I had my splint removed yesterday and absolutely over the moon with the results! The tip is still massively swollen which will go down over the next few weeks but so pleased with the overall shape, I love that I have a slope! Any questions just let me know 🙂 Dr Frati is so good!! Xx

Hi Lucy Lou, my cast comes off tomorrow but I’m really worried as my nose is full of dried blood & scabs, and in one of my nostrils there seems to be some tissue hanging . Hope you don’t mind the add, I had rhyno & BA on the 29th and feel little bit scared for tomorrow. How does the inside of your nose look? And did the nurse helped you clean it off on the inside ? Sorry to ask you all that but I feel a strange smell as well and hope that the tissue that I see hanging will fall of or settle . Happy healing , would love to see some photos as I also had a hump that annoyed me for soo long . X

Hey, glad your happy with your result! I can’t wait to see mine. I had my rhino and BA on the 28th but I’m not getting my bandages off until Tuesday!! Regina, I’d be interested to know how your appointment went. I have a lot of dried up blood in my nose too. It’s really hard not to touch it! I think I almost pulled a stitch out when I was trying to clean it so I really hope that won’t affect the result. I thought I saw some loose tissue in my nose too! X

How did the splint removal go Regina? Were you happy with the result? I had the same problem with the dried up blood but I didn’t have the tissue problem maybe ask the nurse about it- I’m sure it’s nothing but just to make sure. It may just be the blood etc??
Rachael good luck with yours on Tuesday hun, post a pic after! I’m so pleased with mine he did such a good job but still think the tip is hugely swollen so I really want it to go down asap xx

Yay so glad you’re happy with them hun!! Yep think it’s normal for the tip to be swollen at first and it’s just a matter of waiting for it to go down. Xx

@Lucy-Lou I’ve attached a pic and just added some before and afters on my profile! Really pleased with the results so far, i’m hoping there’s a lot more swelling to go down on my nose yet though as one side looks slightly different to the other at the moment.

@rachael88 it looks really nice hun, you must be so pleased! Has your bruising got a lot better? Mines still quite strong and hoping it goes down by the time I get back to work Monday! My swelling has gone down so much in the past week but tips still quite swollen so hoping it goes down soon x

Thanks! Yeah, mines almost gone now, just got a slight bit of bruising still on my eye lids and under my eyes but I think it should be all gone by Monday! I’m back at work then too, two weeks has gone so quickly 🙁 x
