I’m 6 weeks PO tomorrow and today in my left boob I’ve felt a strange kind of stabbing pain.
It’s not extremely painful – it’s on the left side of my left boob, kind of feels like a wire from my bra digging in? Even though I’m still obviously wearing my sports bra – this is only only way I can describe it. It’s got my a little bit worried that it could be some kind of complication – I’ve pain almost pain free for the last two weeks.
In my left boob I’ve had a bigger implant because it was smaller to start off with – it’s also not dropped at much as my right so could it just be the implant dropping? Thanks in advance girls xx
Hi Kate, I had the same thing at 6 weeks post op. Really bad shooting pains but in both boobs. I was really worried so made an appointment with the nurse just to be sure. She checked them and said they’re fine and that the pain is normal…just the nerves reconnecting. I’d make an appointment if I were you, it’s probably the same as me but it will just give you piece of mind xx
Brilliant thanks so much! I’ve got my six week check with the nurse tomorrow – so I’ll mention it then. I hope it’s just the same thing as you – it’s not really any specific movement that makes it to do, it’s just sometimes if I move my arm up or sometimes when I’m sitting still. I was washing my hair earlier and got my arm stuck above my head haha, I couldn’t bring it down because the pain was there – so weird! Thanks again for your reply xx
Turns out my six week check is 7 weeks (next week!) But I phoned the nurse and she said to me that it’s really nothing to worry about – I’m paranoid that it’s capsular contracture!! She said it’s just my nerves knitting together, and as long as I don’t have any other symptoms (redness, excess inflammation etc) then it’s perfectly normal.
