I stayed at the Marriot too, it’s impossible to know how you are going to be after your op, i was a 3 hr drive away from Preston so really had little choice about staying there but i can tell you that even had i only been a 1 hr drive i could not have done it, it takes less than 2 minutes to drive from the first trust hospital and that was enough for me, i travelled home at 12 the next day and it wasn’t as bad as i expected but mainly because we were on the motorway, if we had bumpy town and country roads to cross it would have been allot harder, the Marriot was ok but i wasn’t overly impressed with the rooms and the food menu was pretty poor but the staff and breakfast were both fab, there is also an Ibis just as close and less than half the price but we didn’t book there as hubby doesn’t like ibis in general
(Have seen lots of posts on here from girls who stayed there and found it very good value for money) x
