Sticky residue after having strapping removed??

Hi ladies!
So I’m 1 week post op, I had my appointment today with the nurse to remove dressings etc. I’m left with all this sticky stuff all over me from the strapping. I’ve tried to get it off with baby wipes and I tried to shower with sanex but I’m just so tender and sore I couldn’t stand it. Anyone had the same issue and have some tricks for me to remove it??? Thank you

It’s so annoying isn’t it! I only had it over the top of my boobs so it wasn’t too bad, I managed to get most of it off with baby wipes and just picking at it. For the more stubborn bits my mum had this special ‘sticky stuff’ cleaner which is for getting things like stickers off the bottom of shoes lol but it says on the bottle safe to use on skin…think it’s more for kids lol but that got the rest off. The bits from the dressings around my incisions I just left because I didn’t want to accidentally knock my incisions while I was scrubbing but by the end of week 2 after I’d been showering a few days it all came off xx

You can get ‘Sticky Stuff Remover’ from Lakeland…. but I used Olive Oil on cotton pads… but that didn’t work too well to be honest! I found the easiest time to get it off was when I had just come out of the shower and was still wet.
