STILL in hospital

Been here for 13 and a half hours. Had my op about 9am and been waiting around ever since. Dr Marcellino won’t let anyone go home until he’s personally seen us.. which would be fine if he actually came! I’m exhausted and in pain and just want to go home and have some dinner. Can’t believe it’s taking this long. Already emotional from the op and just feeling so restless 🙁

After 13 and a half hours waiting for him to come have a look he literally came in, looked at my boobs for 0.5 seconds and said “you can go home”.. did I seriously have to wait this long just for that?? That was 10 minutes ago and still no nurse has come in to take my drains out and the cannula out my hand. Beyond uncomfortable after having these needles/tubes in my body for over 10 hours. Don’t mean to whinge but surely this could of happened earlier, was told by the nurse I’d be out by 4 due to being the second op of the day… apparently she was wrong 🙁

Just been told another hour until the doctor can come round to take my needles/tubes out, second the nurse left the room I just burst into tears. Don’t know why I’m being such a baby just can’t bare having all these things in my body anymore!!!

That’s disgusting, what time was your admission & what time did you go to theatre?
I think it’s great that he likes to see all his patients before they go home even better if it’s in a timely manner, there are times when a theatre runs way behind schedule due to complications arising during surgery, if that was the case today then im sure you would would be dissapointed but would understand, the fact that you have had no explanation is the disgusting part, i hope you receive an explanation further down the line and also the apology you are definately now owed moraly because of the lack of information given

A nurse can take your cannula out, literally just pulls out and nurses take drains out aswell. Doesn’t take long at all. Hope you get home soon! Just think how lucky you are to be in hospital for something cosmetic rather than being unwell. Xx

Just left the hospital, 20 min journey back to my hotel, still haven’t had any dinner at all, exhausted, in lots of pain and been up and about since 5am. Seriously bad end to what started out as a positive day. I’m happy I’ve had the surgery but all this walking late at night when I’ve been up since 5 just seems crazy, they say how important rest is and to not strain yourself and then put me through this. Might just be being over emotional but keep tearing up, just want to be home in bed xx

Oh no Maddie that’s awful! How frustrating! After your op you just want your own space where you know you can go sleep for the night without waiting around. You should raise a complaint about this so it doesn’t happen to anymore girls. It really is appalling xxxxxxxx hope your feeling okay now xxxxxx
