I’m 9 weeks post op tomorrow and have had absolutely no problems at all until recently when I noticed a little scab on my incision line. Anyways, after looking closer I’ve realised it’s a stitch! They were all removed when I was 2 weeks post op and the nurse must have missed it. I tried to remove it and it’s completely stuck in there. Any advice please? Thank you xx

At 9 weeks, how odd. I hear some people say they have stitches scab up and fall off…if it doesn’t seem like it will do that maybe you could call and ask a nurse at your MYA clinic? Maybe they’ll take it out for you.
Hope you work it out anyway! x

I’ve tried so hard to pull it out and it’s not coming out at all so it looks like I will have to ring the nurse. It’s a bit crazy how she could miss it :/. I’m quite annoyed by it. Thanks for your help lovely. Will defo give the nurse a ring xx

No, it isn’t great that she didn’t notice it. Sometimes I think the aftercare with MYA isn’t been totally perfect.
Best of luck anyway 🙂 x

Were they dissolvable ? I had dissolvable and I can still feel 2 stitches at 4 weeks post op x

I had stitches removed weeks ago so they must not have been dissolvable. Unless they use a mixture? I have no idea xx

I’m working so much atm so not had any time to ring the nurse but I’m jut worried as she removed several stitches week ago and I’m over 2 months post op. Fingers crossed it will all be sorted soon. Thank you ladies xx
