Stitch sticking out 4 weeks post op

Hi girls, I’m sure this is nothing serious but I have a suture sicking out of one of my incisions. The scars have healed and you pretty much can’t see where the incision was at this point but yesterday I noticed a black knot sticking out. My skin doesn’t seem to be bothered by it and have healed around it but just curious if could be infection hazard or can I leave it till my 6 week appointment in 2 weeks and get it removed then?

It doesn’t ache, just a bit itchy when I do cardio. xx

Its weird that its black, my stitches were white, I still had a bit of one of mine at my 6 week check but she said because its on the surface it will dissolve on its own and that it doesnt need removing, best just ring them and ask xx

@staceeystubbs haha yeah the disolvable stitches are white, but Marcellino uses non-dissolvable black ones on the ends of infisions so they don’t come apart xx

When I had my one week post op check the nurse said the stitches should dissolve by themselves but if by the second week any were sticking out to go back in for her to cut them off x
