Hi I’m 3 weeks po and my stitches still haven’t dissolved is this normal? X

Hey! Did you get this sorted? Because my friend is having major problems because of this. Shes in extreme pain now. But wasn’t at first.

Dissolvable stitches are misleading! They only really dissolve on the inside of the wound! Usually if you give them a little pull (don’t tug on them too hard) then they will easily come out. If they don’t or you don’t feel comfortable doing this, book into see the mya nurse again or even your practice nurse if it’s more convenient to get to your g.p xx
