I’m not sure if iv totally misunderstood but do we have to have our stitches removed? I thought they were dissolvable but seen a few people talk about getting them taken out, is that everyone or just if we need it? Nurse hasnt mentioned it, just wondering what to expect when i go for dressings off! Thanks! x
I think everyone is different tbh, depends on their surgeon, i had dr kazazzi and i only had one disolvble stitch and steri-strips! Paranoid they are going to fall out with just having steri-strips ? xx
Hi Leanne, yeah I think each surgeon is slightly different in the way they do things. I had dr Andrea and had dissolvable stiches which he’s “loops off” with a standard stich at the end which I need to get removed today. If your nurse hadn’t said anything then I’m guessing you had disposable xx
Abbie I had dr Andrea too, I’ve Gotta go back to my nurse next Wednesday to have my stitches taken out.
