Hi,
I was on the pill beforehand and my surgeon told me I didn’t need to stop taking it and therefore I was going to carry on.
However, the nurse told me I must stop taking the pill and apparently it’s because it’s within their policy even if the surgeons have a different opinion. Eventhough I didn’t want to, i stopped taking the pill 2 weeks before the op so that it would not cause any problems and MYA would be happy.
I asked my surgeon when I could start to take the pill again afterwards and she said the next day but after MYA recommend 2 weeks after as well.
I’m just going to do it just in case and that way, it’s not my fault if anything goes wrong as I’ve followed their instructions xx
