Strapping!

Soooo excited to have all of this removed even if I am only on day 1 post op! Picture to follow! (If it works)

They really do!! I can’t wait to have it taken off… and nope, this was done in theatre so I don’t know what’s hiding underneath! X

Yours comes higher up than mine and it’s a different kind of material! At least I get to see the top of my boobs! 🙂 You get yours off sooner though! They’re gonna look awesome! x

What material is yours? This stuff is sticky as hell! I think it’s gonna hurt peeling it off ???? thankyou I hope so! When was your op? X

Yours looks plasticy? Mines more like wide surgical tape, it’s starting to come away on my left side too :S
I’m 8dpo but don’t go back til the 19th for strapping off 🙁

Yeah mine is quite plastic to feel. But with it only being on for a week I’m trying to see the positives. Yours looks much comfier x

A week will fly by, it has for me and then you can see them, yay!
Yeah it’s not uncomfortable to be fair, I just wanna see them! x

Mine was the same as this but my nipples were out it’s so annoying where it’s tight isn’t it! It doesn’t hurt when they take it off the nurse has special wipes that she uses which are Vaseline based it’s just comes off really easy x

Why do they use strapping? Just looks like a torture device, and is there any actual real evidence for it?
I’m always one to review the scientific evidence base (don’t get me started in bio oil!) and my surgeon said there is nothing to suggest type of bra, or no bra, makes a difference post op!
So glad I didn’t have to have it, I could see and touch mine from day 1 and I think it helped me be way less anxious post op!

I have to say it did help me I felt very supported x

I personally liked the strapping in the sense I felt supported too. Every surgeon has their own preferences, and advice. Good luck on your recovery 🙂 just focus on relaxing and enjoying some trashy tv etc, and the week will go before you know it xx
