6 days til my op and my nurse said yesterday that strapping will be left on for a week? Is it really that long as I’ve saw people talk about their boobs and take pics 3/4 days after op ?? I’m so confused how long will I have to have it on for before I can look at them 🙁 xxx
I am the same! My surgeon uses strapping and some surgeons don’t, they just use dressing over the incisions xx
I get my strapping off on my first post op check which is exactly a week after my op. So unfortunately I have to wait a week after my ok until I can see my new boobies 🙁 x
I’ve not found it irritating or anything. Only thing is putting deodorant on is difficult. Doable but difficult. X
Lol I’ve decided I’m staying in bed for a week 😉
How do you wash? And how long aren’t you allowed to get the scars wet for? Xx
I’ve been having shallow baths but using baby wipes for my top half! 🙁 not the greatest but I can’t get my incisions wet. Another thing the strapping helps with, it’s rubbery so somewhat water proof! 🙂 x
It’s funny you don’t think if these things beforehand I didn’t even think about not being able to get the incisions wet before reading on here! When I had my c section you could get that wet straight away! Bet you can’t wait to have a proper shower! Xx
Thats what I dnt understand nikki I had a c section and it was all about washing it and letting air got to it . Very wierd x
Holly I’ve literally just come home from my surgery with Mr Kazzazi and I’m strapped up and you can just see me nipples!
Oh gosh! The strapping sounds awful! Hope ur feeling ok. 🙂
“/ Yeah I’ll have to wait EXACTLY a week for mine too… But As Elisha said think of all the support it’ll be giving your boobs.
Zoe just curious why do you have to have your strapping on for a further 4 weeks ? Xx yours look fab by the way x
Had mines on for a week too…it gives that support they need during the beginning and it means you don’t really have to wear a sports bra while that’s on. Glad I had it I probably would’ve been cheeky and tried taking it off here and there. I guess on the last day or two it became itchy because it got loose but I always used to use ice packs during the tight stages and that helped soothe it I guess.
