Well finally had my strapping off last night and I can honestly say that I was amazed but OMG how heavy they felt once the strapping came off. The left is still quite swollen compared to the right one but the left is the one they had problems getting the drain so not sure if that is why it is quite swollen.
Incisions are healing quite well, left one better than the right but the nurse cleaned them up and put sterile strips on them. Was told I can have a shower but put my back to the shower and dont use perfumed lotion etc on them. She told under no circumstances, can I use moisturiser or bio-oil on them as this would just encourage infection in the incisions and not to use until my 6 week po check.
Has anyone else been told this ??
