Hey how do you know whether or not you need to get the strapping off.
It’s really itching and sore under my arms and near drain site hole and also top of ribs…strangely it’s not really bothering me on the boobs..unless they are just too numb lol.
    Tried antihistamine doesn’t do much…
Is putting up with it the best thing or getting it off?

When the nurse removed my drains she had to peel it back and she said it looked like my skin had been sandpapered and patched up underneath with different dressing.

    Any thoughts please?

That strapping was awful! I was in so much pain was untrue, just like you, it wasn’t the boobs causing me any pain just the strapping. I had to have mine on for 10 days. Called mya so many times to get it off earlier and they had no space. At one point I decided to take it off myself but please don’t as they told me that if I did I would void my aftercare and that they would no longer be liable if any thing was to happen. Just persevere, ino it bad. Mine was so tight was restricting my breathing. I honestly thought that when it came off it would show sores/blisters, but now I think it worth the pain, I healed so nice and neat, must be cos movement so restricted haha. Good luck, stuck with it Hun, not long now x

It just feels like it’s crushing my rib cage. I was wearing macom over the top but that was rubbing too so taken it off. It’s just itching and burning down my side under my arms so much… Moan moan moan….lol I want to be one of them posters who have no pain, super happy no issues and no worries….perhaps I should have done it 15 years ago when I first looked into not now I’m old and worry about everything lol

I’m having no luck, I thought after having it off id feel relief but I can’t seem to find a sports bra that’s comfy, and after the strapping all I want is comfort. Give it a lol snip on the armpits to stop the pulling on the skin maybe? I didn’t wear no bra with it, I sure enough had enough support lol

Ah I know..my boobs are strapped bosh together…I was looking forward to getting some side boob but just feel like I’m wearing at very very tight wonder bra squeezing me completely together! But then I was panicking that they would be under my armpits so perhaps I should stop moaning!

Any tips on snipping it? It so tight on the skin?

You do not need to wear a sports bra over the top of strapping. The strapping is the bra.

I wore my strapping and macom on top 9 days straight for me wasn’t a problem itching and burning is normal if you imagine no air circulation goin around that region it will tend to dry up and certain area if you sweat alot moisture can cause blisters… Your surgeon has advised you to wear the macom so I think it’s best you do just that you can definitely lose your warranty if you do not listen to instructions… The strapping is not a bra it’s more to do with keeping the implants in position but doesn’t support them the macom gives the compression and support.
Once the strapping is removed you will feel burning sensation and itching for me mine was ridiculouslyka itchy and burning sensation lasted up to around 8-9 weeks so only then eased off. You may or may nnot have all these sensations but it’s totally normal and good sign of healing

    Oh..better put back on then!
Well at least it’s a sign of healing just paranoid about it getting infected as not on antibiotics……just driving me mad want to scratch like a demented thing.
    Thank you ….again
