IM only three days post op and the strapping at the top of my chest is soooo tight and uncomfortable! The bottom part is super tight top how long did you girls keep it in for?
Don’t take it off, wait for nurse to do it, usually ur 7dat po check, if u take it off u can void your aftercare and may not liable if u have any complications, ino it’s awful I think we all suffered with it, some worse than others, I was really bad called Mya everyday in years trying to get it taken off, it will ease a bit x
im struggling soooo much too can’t wait to get it off! Getting mine off 9 days po. I rang the nurse she told me i could cut it underneath my armpits as was digging in and to take a benedrill for the itching. Might be worth giving your nurse a call and see what she says x
I feel for you girlies. I was in tears every day with all the pain… I rang the nurse at 4 days post op and she said I could loosen the top bit but don’t take it off. I saw the nurse at 8 days post op. And after the strapping was taken off you are 80percent better and then after a few days you will be fine!!!! I’m 3 weeks post op today and I think I’m back to normal but just think it will only get better… I know all the girls said that to me and I didn’t believe them but it does!!!!!
It’s soooo annoying try hang in there hun. Mine has came loose underarms as it got wet when washing. My cleavage is so itchy and sore counting down the days til it’s off!
Do/did you girls feels like its really restrictive and put a strain on your chest when your breathing? I feel like the bottom digs in but i dont mins because its covering my incisions but the top seems like its just pulling everything for no reason? Cant wait till its off! Xxxx
Really tight and leaves me breathless.. hurts to take deep breathe and had constant hiccups which even hurt lol :/ feels too tight on incisions too as if it’s tugging my stitches whenever I get up. Ice packs have been biggest help for me so far xx
@laura I haven’t had my op yet, but I know one of my friends was reallyrubbing on her wounds and pulled the stitches. Would call the nurse if you are unsure x
I was really uncomfortable cause on one side some of my skin was bunched up and so was cut and so sore but it was only once i had my strapping off that i got a buzz cause then i could see my boobs. You’ll be so happy when its off! Xx
