    Hi lady’s

So today I’ve bought my sports bra for surgery but when I got home I realised it’s the high impact sports bra instead of the surgical sports bra from M&S. does it matter or would I be better off taking it back & changing it? Any recommendations also where I could get a couple more please as I’ve tried a couple of places & no zips up the front. Thanks x

I was reccomended to get a high impact sports bra from m&s along with a Macom, I did orginally go and buy a few bras from m&s but they was all different sizes and just ended up taking them back thinking when I know what size for sure I shall go and buy one. I’d say defiantly get one if your confident on sizes etc but I’d deffo reccomend a Macom if you haven’t already. There obviously not the cheapest but they deffo do the job! Xxx

I agree. I’m 5dpo now. Had my strapping removed yesterday and put my m and s sports bra on. It’s started rubbing on my scar so had to put cotton wool underneath the bra band. My Macom bra should be here today so going to swap to that when it arrives. The sports bras are going to be good when the wound has healed a bit and not so raw. Hope this helps! Will keep you posted today! X

    Thank you lasses

I’m going to look on the website today at the Macom’s, all I got told is to get 3 sizes up in the M&S & medium in the Macom so I’m very confused on the size I’m going to actually be or what I’ll need. I know this can’t be certain. I’m having 400 high profile unders I’m currently a small 34b not that you’d think so, I’m just trying to get everything sorted as my op is in 2 weeks. Thanks girls much appreciated x

    Hey Lisa,
the Macom you just need to buy in your back size, so if you wear a 34 then a medium would be the size you need. They’re good cos they stretch to your needed cup size.
My nurse actually told me at my pre op to get the M&S extra high impact zip front bra but i literally had no idea what size to get and had already bought the macoms so i didn’t bother. I think im going to buy one for sure though after my 6 week as i don’t want to waste money.
The only thing id say about the macom is that the mesh over the front can make your nipples a bit sore xxx

    Hi @Jess

I’ve ordered a medium Macom this morning Hun so now I’ve got both. Being delivered. The M&S sports bra’s are so confusing but I can always take it back & change the size as I reckon it might be more comfortable later on. Did you do anything about the mesh Hun? Do you reckon I should buy some breast feeding pads maybe to pop in for comfort? Hate to heal one way & suffer another x

They are really soft Hun as I’ve got two children (older now) they are so silky & smooth, I’ll get myself some just incase. They will definatly help with any rubbing. Hope they help for you too Hun x
