Sunbeds are a no no for 12 months after surgery as the pigmentation of the scar can seriously be messed with until the scar is properly settled , I seriously recommend you doin some Google home work on this as it is true and your surgeon should warn you of this pre-op as it can make your scar a funny colour to the rest of your skin for years into the future this applies for any scar tissue if you really do feel that you need the sun cover your scars up before tanning with tape and sun cream I no I wouldn’t like bright pink scars for years again as this happened on my c-section scar . Every body is different so ask your surgeon for his best advise on the subject
