Hi girls, when’s the soonest anyone’s been on the sunbed after surgery?
I was told 6 weeks babe, think it can make your scars go pink so not worth it Xx
Some girls go straight on it after a week just cover scars with dressings. My surgeon said a year and that if scar went discoloured I would only have myself to blame x
Definitely not worth the risk then. I think I’d rather wait. Thankyou girls xxx
I went for my 1 week post op and asked about sunbed. They said 6 weeks! x
Yeah it;s not worth it, this is my second BA and the first time I went on holiday shortly after and wasn’t good at covering my scars. My right went completely white but my left was always a bit pink xx
I went on 3 weeks post op but covered my boobs and scars completely! i checked with everyone and most people say wait 6 weeks but my scars are fine and haven’t gone funny π xx
I’m 10 weeks now and I’ve been going on since about 6 weeks I’ve just always worn a bra when I go on so it covers my scars and my boobs but mine are healing really well no problems and fading too so you can’t really see them :), xx
Thankyou girls I’ll go on at 6weeks just another 4 too wait π xxx
also don’t forget you MUST cover your scars! i brought that special tape stuff that i cover on my scars so i can tan the boobs! they looked so weird being pale against the tanned body hehe! xxx
What tape can you buy? I’m having to hold a rolled up towel over the scars whilst on sun beds! π
It’s surgical tape, you know the stuff you put on to bandages?! It’s completely harmless and easily peels straight off π it’s about 50p from boots savers etc! I can’t remember the proper name lol but when I go tomorrow I’ll let you know haha xx
It’s micropore tape white in colour very similar to masking tape. X x xx
Haha exactly what any said! Hehe xx
I’ve been going on them since 2weeks post op but nurse told me cover boobs and scar βΊοΈ Xx
Omg I forgot to say, be careful if you haven’t had a sunbed in a while too! Your boobies may burn a tad aha! Also I have little white tape lines ahaha
