Sunbed question

So I called the nurses up when I was about 5 weeks post op and asked if I covered myself up would I be allowed on the sunbed. She said not for a year or I could damage things?? I said even if I go on in my sports bra and she said yes wait till your a year. Bit confused by this? Surely I can’t damage them if I’m in my sports bra? Or can I? I’m going to Greece in 7 weeks so just wanted to get a bit of a colour on me before going if possible xx

I was also told by the nurse a year but I’m sure I have seen someone post on here that they went on at 5/6eeeks be good to know a year seems abit dramatic doesn’t it xx

I was told sunbeds i can go on as long as scars are covered but fake tans a big no on scars for a year xx

I’ve been going on beds again and I’m only 3 weeks post op. I just cover up my scars.. I didn’t think there would be any risk! I’ve been fine xxx

I have had three boob jobs and have been on within a week. I kept my bra on until stitches came out. Then after that covered them underneath, I have been fine. X

My nurse told me I have to wait 3 months after my op, so I was gutted because it means I can’t get a tan before my holiday (I go on holiday exactly 3 months after my op) so I might just cover the scars and go on if others have ? X

It’s mad how we all get told different lol I am going to call again tomorrow will get another nurse pick up most probably n see what she says lol roll on summer when we can all have tans!xx

It is mad how everyone has been told something different……..I have known girls to go on sun beds very soon after having there boobs done within weeks so I said to the nurse wow a year that’s so long but she was adamant it was a year I thought it was way over the top tbh xx

My nurse was adamant a year too! I would like to know what dangers there are if I kept my sports bra on tho so all scars was covered.. Xx

I had one on Thursday. My first once since my op. I can’t understand why. I forgot to ask my nurse when I had my 6 week check but she said I can do everything that I was doing before so just assumed it was fine. I covered my scars up. Xxx

I’m two weeks post op and been on once since, just left my bra on. I work in a sunned shop and I’m not aware of any problems with this as long as you are covered, the scars should be covered for a good couple of months at least tho I’ll probably keep mine covered for 5months just to be sure xx
