my nurse has told me no sunbed for another 4 weeks but i go on holiday in 6 weeks and was wondering if anyone has been on the sunbeds any earlier if i put plasters on the scars with a bikini top on? feel so pale and i don’t wanna be pale on holiday but obviously don’t want to risk it if it’s not worth it. just wondering if anyone has risked it xxxx
I’m having the same problem and unsure what to do!
When did you have surgery?
I had it on the 14th june, i didn’t want to go to just yet but maybe at 4 weeks with the scars covered i’d orher people have done it and it’s been okay xx
I’ve heard some people have gone on from 4 / 6 weeks but covering their scars and then I’ve heard others have waited 6 months ( I couldn’t go that long ha )
I’m really nervous about going on!
I had my OP on 6th June and was told 6 weeks should be ok as long as I cover them but I’m really wanting to go on next week before my holiday too
I think I might just risk it and see how I get on my skin is use to going on them and if I cover the scars and dont go on for too long or too often I’m sure il be okay?!
Let me know how you get on!
yeah i think i’m to nervous! i’m seeing the nurse tomorrow so will ask about covering them + suncream although i’m sure she’ll say no to be on the safe side ? worth a try xx
just kept my sports bra on so I know my scars were covered. That’s the main thing so they don’t go pink
How long after your OP did you wait before going on with them covered?
the nurse said 100% do not go on ☹️ not gonna risk it i don’t think xx
Oh really yeah I dont think I dare risk it either then but from 6 weeks she said it was okay?
I hate not having a tan haha
I had a sunbed at 2 weeks post op, just covered up the scars and I was fine, I started getting my scars out for 5 mins each sunbed after then just cause I’m tanned and don’t want white scars!
My friend didn’t cover her scars at all and is fine
How often did you go on? And how long for?
Thanks
