Sunbeds & Going out drinking PO

What have you guys done about sunbeds post op? Obviously you can’t expose your scars to strong heat like that so what have you used to cover the scars? Would plasters be ok?

Also how long did you leave it til you had a night out drinking after your operation? I’m hoping to go out 2 weeks later for a mates birthday

Hey I asked my nurse about drinking at my post op yesterday and she said after 2 weeks I can drink but she recommended not a heavy night until 6 weeks. She said drinking alcohol is putting toxins in your body so won’t be good for your healing. I wouldnt want to drink too much incase it numbs my pain and i over do it but that’s just me 🙂 xxx

i had my initial consultation on monday n asked bout sunbeds n they said not for a year but also said girls usually just cover the scars with those white plasters xxx

also my friend went to benidorm just over a week after her op n drank every night xxx

woah a year! thats a long time. i would love a sun bed right now and I’m only 3 weeks post op. hurry up summer!xx

I’m a sun bed loved also I started going back on 10 days post op and I just keep my sports bra on. I’ve also had a good drink in the house after about 10 days also and I’m 4 weeks post op now and my healing has been fine I’m going out tonight for the first time I just wish I didn’t have to wear this sports bra but never mind! I held a rolled up hand towel over my scars whilst on the laid down sun beds, was a hassle but don’t want to risk em being exposed

Hi! I went back on the sunbeds at 4 weeks post op I used some of them stickers that u get for your eyes at the tanning shop and stuck then over my scars ha xx

Las Iguanas just sent me an email for 2-4-1 Margaritas on monday 22nd and it’ll only be 7 days PO….
Who can say no to 2-4-1 MARGARITAS?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
