Surgery all done! 295 left and 320 right UHP under muscle

So I had my surgery today and thought I would share my story so far hopefully to put anyone else waiting for surgery at ease.
So my admission time was 11am in Preston but I was just over half an hour late as there had been an accident and we was stuck in traffic, the hospital we’re fine with this. So got there and I was taken to my room, then the nurse asked me a few questions and gave me my gown, stockings and the lovely paper knickers. A couple of hours later and the anaesthasist came to see me shortly followed by Mr Mounir who marked me up and said 45 minutes and your going to theatre! Then around 1.45 a doctor/nurse came to get me for theatre and by this point my heart rate through the roof! I was so scared of been put to sleep and I got the anaesthetist to promise I would definitely wake up, sounds ridiculous but I was absolutely petrified! Anyway I was given something to calm it and then literally 2 minutes later was told to take some deep breaths, I glanced over at the clock and it was around 7-8 minutes past 2.. next thing I woke up and was looking at a lady confused as to where the two men had gone.. she said all done, I was like what, I’ve been asleep 2 minutes!! Crazy.. I couldn’t believe how scared and worked up I had got myself and it honestly was not as bad as I expected at all! I was such a wimp and I’ve been absolutely fine so if anyone else is feeling like I was please be reassured you will be just fine and are very well looked after. The team make you feel so at ease and quite daft for been so silly. I woke up at 3.15 so literally an hour later and was back in my room by 3.30 and left the hospital before 6.30. The pain isn’t as bad as I expect but it is tight and a little tender.

Hey Beci, glad it all went well! Had mine this morning in Preston too… just trying to get comfy in bed. Was in barely any pain until they whipped those drains out, don’t recall anyone saying how bad they would be, or how they would be all around your breast, been in slight pain since but manageable, travelled home, been walking around, and can go to the toilet on my own haha xx

Ah I didn’t have drains, not sure why though.
I feel more comfy walking around then I do just sat, I’ve been quite mobile. Did you have unders or overs? We just need to keep telling ourself it will be so worth it! Xx

I had mine at Preston today and that traffic was horrendous! Left my house at 7.30am and I got home at 1.30am! I was 20 mins late for my admission and that was after we abandoned the car and walked there in the end. Left the hospital at 8.30pm. Glad both of yours went well. Xx

I had overs, 325 right and 350 left, and touch would I’m being quite mobile, do you find your bigger side hurts a bit more? Glad you’re not in too much pain! Xx

Ah we had to do the same, we just abandoned the car at the other side of that bridge and walked too then my hubby went back for it later on. At least we all made it eventually!
And my pain wasn’t really that bad yesterday but it was worse in my smaller side as he said he had more difficulty with that one but this morning it is my bigger size and I feel really tender! I literally had an hours sleep if that, I just can’t get comfortable and even breathing is a little uncomfortable! How are you both feeling today? Xx

I seem to have more swelling in my left boob than my right. It’s literally solid and really right. Felt awful yesterday but more active today. Yeah we parked up on the new estate but I walked back there after to get some fresh air and stretch my legs a bit. I’m keeping on top of the painkillers but I’m fine sitting down. The breast band is already driving me mad but it’s helping them drop already. How r u 2 with bloating? Xx

I don’t feel bloated at all yet but last night I just couldn’t get comfy, had an hours sleep all night if that. I’ve slept for 2 hours today. The pain is manageable with the pain killers, just feels really tight and tender still. I read somewhere on here that by day 4 we should see huge improvements! My boobs look pointy and high at the minute, how are yours looking? Xx

I’ll try and attach a pic. Yeah tight and tender is how I would say too. I’ve bloated a bit but it’s not too bad so far but I struggle having a wee. Have u got a breast band? I hate mine but I know it needs to be worn so plodding on xx

How is your pain today? Mine feels like an elephant is sat on my chest! I just keep telling my self a few weeks from now this will all be over and I’ll have the boobies I’ve always wanted. How are you finding sleeping sat up? Xx

The pain isn’t too bad it’s more tightness. Like I’m wearing a tiny corset. But I’m slowly getting more active just struggle to move my arms. Because I’m still so tired I’m literally passing out at nighttime so at the minute it’s been ok. My neck feels a bit stiff when I wake up but it wears off. It will all be worth it chick. It can only get better from here and I bet they look great already and we’ve both got a while before we are fully healed. Are u doing a photo diary? Did u get a 24hr check in call? I haven’t heard anything nor have I been given my post op app yet as the nurse said she would call me with one. Can’t ring til Monday now either. Xx

Yeah mines the same, it’s just waiting for the tightness to ease off. Managed to wash my hair over the bath this morning and feel a bit more human now lol.
I’ve got some pics but it won’t let me post them on here for some reason. Are you able to?
Yeah the nurse called me just to check in but I already had my post op appointment as she booked me it at my pre op. I would defo ring Monday and I’m sure they’ll sort it. Which clinic are you? Xxx

I’m with Nottingham clinic. Yeah ringing them tomorrow to sort everything out. Yeah it let me upload a pic on here. R u on Instagram? I’ll add u on my journey page. I’m hoping to try and wash my hair today too. Still so tired tho but I’ve been sleeping really well xx

The sleeping is the worst bit for me! I just can’t get comfy. Each day is better though so just muddling through it xxx
