Surgery bras – wash ready for the day or nah??

Hey girlies, literally just a quick one. Was just wondering if I should wash one of my Mya bras ready to take with me or if I should just leave it and take it out of the packaging and then take it along with me, I want to do what’s better for less chance of infection. I’d assume you would wash it before putting on since it’s been in the packaging and is brand new and usually before I wear anything I put them in the wash????????‍♀️ what did you lot do??

@leahrodgers20 hello I washed all my bra’s and the pillow cases that came with my v pillow, my pj’s and my blanket lol.. I was like you though didn’t want any cause for infection i washed all my bedding day before too… crazy I know but don’t want to risk anything..I only hand washed my bras though xx

I did the same as you Louise! Can’t be too careful, especially with our new boobies xxx

Not really related to your post but can I ask what the MYA bras are like? It’s hard to tell from the pictures of them how they fasten. Are they a clasp like a normal bra? xx

@char-day Hi the Mya bra’s are really comfy and really good for my incisions as the band has got a bit of padding in. Yeh they are clasp fastening but at the back I have also found the Asda post op bra really comfy too I wear these while I wash my others.xx

@charlotte sorry for late reply not been on here in a few days but to answer your question, I haven’t actually opened the packaging yet and taken them out!! I defiantly will soon though and I’ll post a picture on these comments when I do. I’ve heard so many great things about them though and that they are dead comfy and also great in your incisions which is what I wanted the most so I’m happy!! X
