I’m due to have a uplift and implants next week. In London can anyone tell me how long it takes from start to finish? I’m petrified of being put to sleep and not waking up. Xx
It varies really. I had my surgery on Tuesday at Fitzroy London. My admission time was 12.30pm which I got the day before my surgery. you can wait up to 6 hours for you’re surgery as it depends where you are on the list. Actual surgery from being taken to theatre putting you to sleep, actual surgery and then recovery is roughly 2 hours. Don’t worry it’s really quick. My surgery took 40 mins and I was awake 25 minutes later. It’s the waiting beforehand without eating or drinking is the hardest. I was the same though about putting me to sleep but didn’t even realise I was put to sleep haha so quick. I woke up all happy and in no pain. You having surgery at Fitzroy?

Oh really wow them poor people after you aswell. Hopefully Friday but I have a heart murmur so as we speak I’m waiting to get a scan done to see if it’s safe . Pray it is il b gutted. Oh the drains they hurt don’t they? Did u have overs or unders? I’m dreading the journey home was it bad ? .. xx
I had unders. Hope all how well with the check up with the heart murmur. The journey home was a little sore as my bf drive carefully home it still a little uncomfortable. Yes the drains hurt but didn’t take long to take out. Just really itchy at the moment but apparently that means it healing well. Just got washed and ready and going to pop out again to keep active.

Aimee oh did you I don’t understand what I’m having I want natural as possible but so he said in between the muscle . I’m dreading the drains oh yea that’s meant to mean healing well so that’s good. Is the strapping as annoying as people say?
I’m having natural ones too. Yeh it’s like a huge plaster strapped round it’s quite tight and I have abit of irritation under my arms. I just feel like you have a tight bra on all day and night!
Wasn’t meant to do it twice but yeh I wear a post op sports bra on top that I purchased from marks and Spencer’s which I recommend if you haven’t purchased anything yet.
Yea see I’ve heard under is the most naturalist I hope mine doesn’t look fake . Oh it’s actually like tape isn’t it dreading it and after . Oh ok thanks will get one I’ve got 2 macoms but think il need more. . Silly question have u showered or washed your hair? I can’t go a week without washing my hair ????????. ::
I have a shallow bath for bottom half and use baby wipes for top half as you cannot get strapping wet. My bf washes my hair, I have to go on my knees and bend over bath carefully and he washes it for me with towel around my shoulders haha. He does it every other day and the days I don’t wash it I use dry shampoo. Yeh you have to wait a week til strapping is off!
No worries like I like to help that’s what we are here for! Oh wow Alice that’s a good idea! Have put abit a soap on the wipes to clean with. Can’t wait to have a proper soak in bath. Don’t feel totally clean at the moment!
Zoe I went to a hairdressers and had them wash and blow dry my hair when I was a couple of days post-op since they have proper sinks for you to sit comfortably at and not strain yourself, and I’m soo glad I did. It made me feel so much better after being a lazy ass for days, plus pampering is always nice

Hairdressers is s great idea!!! Yeh 3pm is late – are you staying over ? I know at least it’ll be over and done- my sister is coming straight from work to pick me up though so will still end up having to wait until about 6 anyway … Yes very real! I still haven’t bought any bras yet need to before then! I’m thinking about going for the M and S ones people say they are brilliant X

Oh il see u then have u got far to travel? Do any of you no a good car park ? That’s not silly money?

I booked a car park in advance which was roughly 15 minutes walk away from Fitzroy and was £20 for 24 hours not sure of anywhere else as was told parking is very limited and expensive round there. Glad we booked it as I had to stay overnight and my bf was going to stay the night too and those 24 hours would of been used.
If you go online it’s called ‘just park’ and select ‘Euston road’ closest car park to hospital pick you’re times if there will be any spaces left. You get given a code to get through s gate and it’s at a church it was so easy to do and get to hospital.
