Surgery tomorrow

I have my surgery tomorrow and I was so prepared like last week and now iv just gone brain dead. What do I need for tomorrow, I have got my v neck pillow, dressing gown and my phone. What else do I need?

Phone Charger, Hoodie/Button down the front top to come home in, Slippers, Magazine. Are you staying overnight? X

Oh god yeah! Idk how I forgot about clothes to travel home in haha! And no I think I’m just a day case, thank you so much haha xx

Haha oh good glad it’s not only me. I haven’t been given my admission time yet and I’m starting to worry a bit now cos my surgery is tomorrow so I think I’m gonna have to ring up xx

Surgery went well and I have been discharged. Admission time was at 12, went down for surgery at about half 1 and I was back in my room for 3. Surgery went well, I’m very uncomfortable and I’m a bit of pain now it it will all be worth it in the long run. I dont remember anything about the surgery, last thing I remember is the cannula going in, and then after that I remember waiting up and it was all done. I deffinatky reccomend mr kazzazi and the twilight sedation, I had no sickness, didn’t even feel sick at all xxx

According to the nurses I was asleep through most of it , but the last thing I remember is the cannula going in and then i woke up and it was done, if I could have twilight sedation again I would deffinately choose it xx

I’m actually sat crying because I’m quite a lot of pain, I can’t take pain at all and it’s hurting to breathe in and I can’t move without being in pain, but I am so so so happy that it’s done now because now I just have to focus on recovering. I am on cloud 9. There is nothing at all to worry about with twilight sedation, Best thing iv ever had xx

Hope you start to feel better soon Hun. Yeah as you said focus on recovery it will all be worth it 100% I will be same as you when I got I’ll go Doncaster natural clinic it’s only like half hour from me which is good xx

Yeah I only live half hour away, the drive home wasn’t bad at all because it’s pretty much just 20 mins down the motorway. Bring your dressing down so that there is padding between your chest and the seatbelt so that it’s comfortable, it’s the best piece of advice I can give you haha xx

Hiya – I have my consultation on Tuesday and I’d much rather go with local & sedation rather than general. Please could you give me some more information on how it all works.

Are you going with mr kazzazi? I would choose twilight sedation over genenal anaesthetic any day. Basically it means that you are still conscious throughout the surgery but your deeply sedated which means you won’t know what’s happening, you won’t feel anything and you won’t remember anything, a lot of people fall asleep (I did apparently). The last thing you will remember is the cannula going in, then you will wake up after the op ( which feels like 5 minutes later), you won’t have any side effects, no sickness or headache or anything. I got discharged less than an hour after my surgery because you wake up so quick and recover so quick, I would deffinately have it again. I did so much research about twilight sedation before my op and read up on how it works and I was amazed, I am so so glad I had twilight sedation and I reccomend it to anybody. My admission time was 12pm and I was discharged by 4. Some people don’t have their admission times until 3 and they go home in the same day, it depends on how the surgery goes and whether he surgeon is in time, they won’t keep you in unless they have a reason to. I took way too much with me, I took my phone, charger, purse, clothes to travel home in, blanket, dressing gown, pillow and slippers. The only things I ended up using was my dressing gown, slippers and clothes to travel home in. Also just take some spare pants with you In case you do have to end up staying over night for any reason. I was so so nervous in the days leading up to my surgery and then when it actually came to the day of my surgery I wasn’t even that nervous because everything happened to quick and run so smoothly that I didn’t have time to worry and be nervous. My recovery as been really good as well so far, good luck and message me if you need anything xxx
